Succulent Containers Necklace
~ Workshop Information ~

Cultivate a succulent container garden! A sequel to the popular Terrarium Collection, this necklace features a variety of old and new succulent components framed with Tila beads and Japanese seed beads. In this class we’ll explore the how color, shape, and texture all come together in real succulent arrangements, and how we can apply these design principles to beaded succulent gardens. Students can choose to create the sample projects as shown, but will also receive lots of ideas on how to stitch their own unique succulent arrangements.
Students will learn how to stitch a collection of succulents and frames using a variety of shaped beads, and will also experiment with arranging them together. We’ll use a variation on cubic right-angle weave (CRAW), double right-angle weave (DRAW), and peyote stitch to create the necklace.
Prerequisites: Students should be familiar with CRAW and peyote stitch, and comfortable working with shaped beads and size 15° seed beads.
Skill level: Intermediate.
