Supercoiled Beaded Rope
Supercoiled Beaded Rope
Weave an indulgent coiled beaded rope! The Supercoiled Beaded Rope is a luxurious length of twisty beadwork woven with coiled PRAW; a RAW variation that applies coiled CRAW techniques to prismatic right-angle weave. This design expands on Gwen Fisher's Twisted CRAW technique to make a beaded rope that not only twists, but coils like an old-fashioned telephone cord. Wear the rope as a necklace, or easily convert it into a bracelet for two types of jewelry in one!
This pattern is appropriate for beaders who are experienced in CRAW and who would like to practice this variation in a repetitive beaded rope project. Beaders who have mastered twisted CRAW are in great shape to try out this design. The pattern is complete with step-by-step instructions on how to weave the rope and how to fold it into a bracelet. Beaders who want a more thorough analysis of coiled CRAW should check out the Star Fragment Pendants pattern.
